here’s to the future (a blog post actually about my music)

so today was spent mixing one of the many new songs I’ve been working on. It needs vocals recording; hopefully I’ll do that later this week, as the studios have finally re-opened (I think? not actually sure on that one…fingers crossed..). However what I do have is sounding great, and I’m really pleased with it. I’ve finally got the guitar sound right, I think, and the drums are near-perfect.

I’ve also been busy promoting the up-coming gig at Trinity. Come on people, I need you! It’s not like I’ve got a big record deal, loads of money to throw at ideas and ventures and gigs…people seem so complacent when your very living depends on their enthusiasm. New song? Oh, right. Gig? oh, maybe. I’ve been assured it’s not a reflection on the music. If you care to differ, do let me know. But anyhow, I’m not beyond admitting that every one of you reading this will make a difference if you vocalise your, dare I say..enthusiasm? for my music. Huge journeys begin with small steps. Be my step. And I’ll be your..ok I’m not too sure where this is going.

Well, with any luck the new material will change all that. I’ve got such big ideas and such a small budget.

Here’s to new material, here’s to the future. Long may it follow the present.
